So, do I forgive him?

My husband told me tonight that this morning when he was getting ready for work, his electric beard trimmer quit right in the middle of his beard, and he had half his beard short and half long. He said he looked all over the house for scissors and all he could find...you guessed it...was my good sewing scissors. So do I forgive him? Or should I have expected him to go to work with a half-shorn face?

Sounds to me like a good reason to go scissor shopping:)

Depends on how cute he was when he confessed! ...LOL... I'll bet he was pretty cute!!

You mean he needed something and he looked myself? He did not ask you to get it for him. He should get points for that.

I agree with this - I believe he gets a pass. I doubt very much that it hurt your scissors. Beards are a natural fiber - right?

I don't care for facial hair so I would gladly sacrifice my scissors.

Give the guy a break and a beard trim shouldn't dull them too much.

Go buy the same scissors for the house you have for your sewing and never worry about your scissors being looked for again. That's what I did and no one ever looks for the good scissors, they are all good.

Give him a pass.

Now as to scissors: we have many in every place in the house (the harbor freight kind), so my sewing scissors are off limits. I buy them by the dozen. DH knows when dull-throw them out and we'll get more, but DON'T USE MY SEWING SCISSORS.

Give him a beard trimmer for Fathers Day. Also give him a pass this time. He did have to go to work.
