Have fun. I tried weaving and would probably still enjoy it, but I went back to work and quilting and reading take all my time. :)

More power to you! I say teach DH how to use the loom as well. He might find it lots of fun.

Have fun with your new toy. It is always fun to learn new things.

How true!!

My husband and I are both retired. There aren't enough hours in the day sometimes. We have enough projects lined up to keep us busy for eons. A few weeks ago I was in my sewing room till past midnight. Just having a blast sewing and creating.

Best part is .....I can sleep as long as I want to. :)

I played in my younger years, so now I have to pay the piper. Will probably have to work til I die. Even though I enjoy my work, it would be nice to have more time to quilt and garden and read and play my piano...so enjoy your loom and don't feel pressed to 'accomplish'.

I agree that retirement is hard work. I have to train my brain to not take on new projects. I can't keep up with what I am currently sewing! All in fun. Quilting has kept me sane during radiation and chemo.
