I hope someone is having some springy weather...we have had about 1-1/2 days of it here...has been a cold, rainy, snowy, cloudy, windy season...so tired of it and keep hoping that soon we will get some warmer days. It probably will feel like it goes from winter to summer here with no real spring. Today it is in 40's with 20mph winds and gusts higher than that. I was hoping to work outside for awhile, but may wait until next weekend.
Guess I will have to stay in and quilt...once I get off the computer.

Up North 05-01-2011 11:12 AM

First day of temps to reach 77 but cool wind! Awesome out there!!

genafan201 05-01-2011 11:17 AM

40 now (in the middle of the day...sleet this morning. Wind blowing about 25 miles an hour...Thank goodness it's May (that's sarcasm, by the way)

Missysgottohelp 05-01-2011 11:21 AM

Well the sun is shining at the moment and it's a balmy 57 here. I'm so tired of rain, wind and snow. Someone must have pissed off Mother Nature cuz she sure is making thing miserable for alot of folks. Well I'd better run outside and soak up the sun before it goes away again. LOL.

quilter68 05-01-2011 11:29 AM

We have had a couple of days - not a string of days. I'll take any spring day. My favorite time of year.

You just described spring here in the high desert of the Great Basin.

Jim's Gem 05-01-2011 11:38 AM

We have beautiful clear blue sunny sky's and about 88 degrees. Beautiful spring day. Yesterday we had some bad Santa Anna's blowing!!! Really drys everything out!

Melinda in Tulsa 05-01-2011 11:39 AM

We HAD spring yesterday. Warm, sunny, low wind, but today...it's raining and 44 degrees.

Up North 05-01-2011 11:49 AM

Woa it went from 77 top 57 in am matter of an hour!

jacee kay 05-01-2011 12:01 PM

It was in the 80s yesterday, Today it is is in the low 50s and raining and very damp and cold feeling. I am ready for spring to stay around for a while. We get a day of warm weather then several days of very cool temps.

marymm 05-01-2011 12:03 PM

Here it's in low 80s and we desperately need some of the rain from other parts of the country!

Scrap Happy 05-01-2011 12:12 PM

It's 88 here and low humidity.

glassdriller 05-01-2011 12:31 PM

I just put in the 10 lily bulbs when my neighbor chased a momma skunk & one of her babies into my yard! So much for letting in the freah air.

aurora41 05-01-2011 12:54 PM

Today in San Francisco, CA it is a BEAUTIFUL DAY!!

Pam B 05-01-2011 01:04 PM

It was...for about 2 hours today. LOL From about 1-3 it was sunny and felt warm...looked like spring...not even windy. Now it is cloudy, getting windier, looks like it could rain again anytime. We are so very tired of this weather pattern. :(

Lisanne 05-01-2011 01:18 PM

Springy? It's eternal summer in southern California, usually around 70-72 degrees all year - but today it's up around 90! I don't mind, though, since the humidity is very low right now.

the casual quilter 05-01-2011 03:39 PM

It's chilly here today. Mid-forties to 50 degrees.

Carron 05-01-2011 03:43 PM

In the 80s today, beautiful and clear (because of winds). I appreciate the winds, they clearn the air and our view from the mountian side where we side is fantastic, but the down side is how dry it makes my skin and messes my hair. LOL LOL

ontheriver 05-01-2011 07:37 PM

In the high 80's here in Central Alabama.

janedee 05-01-2011 10:02 PM

its definitely spring here in the south east UK lots of lovely blossom that seems particularly stunning this year and I have a pond full of tadpoles, oh and the cuckoo is singing and the foxes are on the prowl even in daylight as they now have young to feed

Edie 05-02-2011 03:45 AM

It is the second of May and the temperature right now is +33 degrees. It is totally cruddy outside, no sunshine, just grey - can't even see clouds. So much for global warming! Grass is green and growing, but perennials are nowhere, can't put in seeds which I generally do around the first of May. Honestly, it is dank, damp, windy, just down and out miserable. It does not depress me, because God plans the day for us, so I make lemonade out of lemons. But I wish the sun would come out. This Minnesota white is so anemic looking and everyone knows where I am from!!!!!!! But like the song goes "The sun will come out tomorrow, bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow there'll be sun"
and I am holding Annie to that one!!!!!

Make your own sunshine! Edie

rita222 05-02-2011 04:55 AM

This is the best spring I can remember since I moved to Georgia in 76. Everything is blooming and my tomatoe plants already have tomatoes on them the sixe of a tennis ball. Sorry I can't send you all some sunshine. It has been hot but not humid as usual.

But if you already had nice, warm weather just think how hot and miserable your summer would be. You're pretty far north to be expecting June weather in late April or early May.

kdlingenfelter 05-02-2011 06:13 AM

April showers bring May flowers. (WATER LILIES and Cat Tails)

CarrieAnne 05-02-2011 06:19 AM

Its Sunny but cold and windy!

Becky Mc 05-02-2011 06:24 AM

I hear you I am tired of this weather, still putting wood in the fruance to keep warm, a day here and there a little springy but then cloudy, rain and gale force winds. Please just a little spring would be nice? Hope summer is better then this! And winter need to hold off until at least Dec since it held on so long this year!!!!

Linsoblu 05-02-2011 06:29 AM

It 30 outside, sunny I told my husband I think we are going to have winter year round this year!! There is so much snow in the mountains around us it will be July before it all melts.

Abby'smom 05-02-2011 07:10 AM

we have had cool, very dry, windy weather -- a real spring for us, except for no rain

lheartsl 05-02-2011 07:13 AM

Not the greatest.. Looks like it could hall off an pour any min... supose to get to maybe 60 today... cool breeze...
i know what is going to happen, we are going from winter right into the blazes of summer...

grammysharon 05-02-2011 07:55 AM

We had one nice day yesterday in Oregon. Almost 70. Today, stormy and raining. I will take it over tornadoes any day.

quilter1943 05-02-2011 07:58 AM

Just got back from the pool. It's summer here already. We had a very short spring this year with only about a week of rain.

Crafty Darlene 05-02-2011 09:02 AM

It's in the mid 80's and sunny, really beautiful! We sure could use some rain though!

You can have ours!! It was 81 yesterday, and beautiful. Today it is cold and wet, low 60's.
Keep flip flopping back and forth.

Kappy 05-02-2011 09:12 AM

We had awful winds all weekend and then on Sunday when I woke up to get ready for work...SNOW on the ground! Enough already! Today the sun is trying to shine but the tempts are still way below average. May baskets....would have been topped with snow!

jdiane318 05-02-2011 09:26 AM

Yesterday and today has been cold and rainy. If the temps doesn't warm up to 48º, we are at 46º at noon, it will set a record for the coldest temp on this date. Yesterday was so miserable, and today isn't much better, reminds me of fall.

Roberta 05-02-2011 09:47 AM

We've had a couple of "good" days with temps. in the low 60's but it's going to rain most of the week now.

luce321 05-02-2011 09:48 AM

It was beautiful here in Louisiana Saturday. I had a yard sale and there was such a nice breeze. I wanted to have it early before that miserable humidity came. I did good on my sale, really enjoyed it. My three teenage grandchildren helped me so much.

mhansen6 05-02-2011 11:25 AM

We had good weather over the weekend, first time in ages, but now it is back to rain, wind and cold.
