I was moving and I taped my drawers on my sewing maching cabinet shut. Well after the move i removed the tape and now i have a sticky gooey gunk on cabinet. How do I get it off with out hurting the wood?

Goo gone is great! Peanut butter might work too.

thanks , i'll give them a try.cabinet is over 50 years old so i sure don't want to mess it up

I was going to say peanut butter too!

If those don't work, try calling a furniture restorer in your area for advice; bound too be one in Denver!

Be careful with goo gone... it might remove the finish. Just a thought.
|
I would try the peanut butter. If you use goo gone try it in an inconspicuous area first. I agree, it may mar the finish.

WD-40

Eucalyptus or orange oil.

I hope one of these suggestions were successful. Please let us know what worked. It may save someone else. Like me....I am always taping things. LOL
