I made one for DGD and one for DGS. I left the sleeves in place since I wasn't covering them with the denim.

This is exactly what I want to do -- put fabric on the front, but not mess with the sleeves. How did you attach the strip that was near the sleeve seam and side seam? I can't seem to picture how to do that part. I know about cutting off the neckline and bottom trim and I have the fleece binding for that. Just can't figure out the one strip on the out end.

Any advice would be appreciated!

I just carefully cut those strips so I could fold them under and around the sleeve seam. Then I top stitched it close to the seam.
I also used part of the bottom band for the neck binding.

Thank you! I've kind of envisioned that, but I kept wondering if there was another way that I just hadn't seen or thought of. I hated to think I could have done something easier or more fool proof -- fool proof is good in my book...
