Thought I would share a couple of photos with you one is a Tasmanian Devil and the other is a Wombat. Photos were taken by friends when in the Cradle Mountain National Park.

I remember seeing a wildlife show about a rehab center or zoo for these two. The episode showed how they were hand raised and how attached they became to their keeper and vice versa. I especially remember the racket the tassie made -- they sure do put up a good fight! Thanks for the photos. I think both are adorable.

Aw, CUTE! I thought the little devil would look meaner!

You should hear the noise the tassies make in the bush high pitch screeching, they look really cute but are very smelly and very shy in the wild.

Very cool! Are both of them nocturnal?

Thanks for posting....believe the Tassie Devils are under threat from a nasty cancer type thing...hope they can sort out a cure. They are just such interesting creatures.

Must have scared people witless when Tasmania was first explored...those nightime noises would have had them wondering what was out there!

Thanks so much for sharing. Australia is a place I have always wanted to visit. Our DD is living in NZ while attending Uni in Auckland. We plan on detouring to Sydney on our next trip over in February.

Strange looking creatures but kinda cute.

They look so friendly and innocent. I suspect that is part of why they are so dangerous? Thanks for sharing the pics, I have never seen one before.
