not sure if the question should be here or not but here goes it. have anybody found a really really ulgy fabric that they would not sure is something. just asking. to see how many ulgy fabrics every one has seen.

There are a lot of people who have 'ugly' fabric. I love it when members do the 'ugly fabric challenge'.

Yes, I have seen several ugly ones. My friend has purchased them.

I have gotten a couple in a box from a garage sale. It is amazing that the "winner" of the ugly fabric challenge manages to make a pretty quilt out of all the uglies.

You've heard the story about "The Ugly Duckling", right. Same thing goes for fabric!

Our guild did a challenge with every one purchasing the ugliest fabric they could find. My sister and I picked out the same fabric not knowing each other did it. Strange!!! However I won the fat qtrs and made a quilt. It turns out that it is my grandsons favorite quilt. LOL

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder ....... and ugly has proven to be the same, when posted here on the boards.

What one disdains ........ another quilter will see beauty.

Oh yes there is some very ugly fabric out there!! And I own some of it!

ugly is relative-
what one person finds to be horribly ugly someone else will love- and make something spectacular out of.
next ugly swap that comes along- look through the pictures- i bet you really like a couple that others just think is the most horrible piece of fabric they've ever seen!
happens all the time-
and i'm sure most of us have at least one fabric that they just think is so ugly---and can not think of a thing to do with it- and hate it so much they don't even think they could pass it on---but someone out there---likes it! :) and knows what to do with it.

Hahahaaa I even tried to do an ugly swap- was a flop.... Go figure .. :?
