My DGS loves to play shop and we will buy him a wooden kidsstore for christmas.
To stuff it I was thinking of sewing different fruits and vegetables but I cant find patterns. Did any of you ever made something like that?? Granny |
What a great idea! There are a number of pumpkin shaped patterns that have been posted in the links section.

You might e-mail the folks at Fabri-Quilt.com . They have a whole line of fruit and vegetable fabrics, and a year ago spring at Quilt Market, their whole booth was built around that collection. Some of the ladies that work for Fabri-Quilt had made all sorts of stuffed fruits and veggies (using their fabrics, of course) and they had a market cart just full of them. I believe the won a prize for having the best display of all the fabric companies.
Maybe they used a pattern that they can share with you. |
Thank you all so much. "play food" does the trick! Not of english mothertongue I sometimes look to far

Simplicity pattern 2445 is full of felted play food. All the foods are made of felt fabric. I've made some of the items for grandsons.
They were not hard at all. Sewing with felt can be very forgiving. I bought the pattern when they were $1.99 at Joann's. |
