Calling all Washington and/or Oregon quilters! My husband and I are going on vacation next week to your area, and we are wondering what kind of clothes to bring along! I know that sounds like a silly question, but neither of us has ever been to that area before. I assume it's going to be warmer than here in Ohio, but I could be wrong. We are so excited to be coming there! Are the leaves changing color there, too? Thanks!

Bring some of everything! Weather varies by the part of the state you're in...today was jeans/tshirt weather in Central Oregon, but the beaches can be cold ANY time of year!! :)

You're coming at a good time. today I was walking at lunch without a coat. It's starting to get cool in the evenings and early morning. My suggestion is layer up. Tee shirt, sweat shirt and jacket. Jeans should be fine. Bring good walking shoes. there's lot to see here. I have lived in Seattle all my life and sister lives in Oregon. We can sure give you suggestion of what to see with your timeline. PM me if you want ideas or suggestions. Have a great trip.....

Yes be prepared for all weather. On the coast can be wet and cold. Southern Oregon this morning was foggy and chilly but sunny by afternoon.

Vancouver, WA through Olympia has been 40's lows to low/mid 60's. But by next week? It could very well be in the low/mid 50's for the highs and down to freezing at night LOL

I would pack tshirts, sweatshirts/sweaters and a jacket to be on the safe side  Remember... it rains here... and don't forget the umbrella LMBO

I say dress for shopping! There's over 50 Quilt Shops in Western Washington, and I don't know how many in Oregon but a LOT, and some really great ones!

I've lived in Oregon all my life. I'm with Charlee....bring something for every type of weather. Central Oregon can be warm during the day and cold at night. Anything west of the Cascades will more than likely be WET. I've been to the coast in October/November and had it warmer than summer....you just NEVER know. ENJOY! Now -- what part of Oregon are you traveling?????????

Thanks so much for all your wonderful suggestions! I guess I will pack "layers" of clothing. We will be in the Portland area for 3 days, then head to the coast for a few days. I wonder if I can talk my husband into just one quilt shop! I think he won't protest too much!
