I find it interesting that most of the topics I start eventually get moved off somewhere else. I just posted one about my quilt fabric shopping trip and figured it was definitely on topic because it was about shopping for quilt fabric and walla.........it is now chit chat. I really don't mind too much but sometimes it makes it hard to find messages if someone else's topic gets moved and I forgot to bookmark it then I have problems finding it again.

I posted one looking for a pattern and it got put into links! not one person responded :(

You can always see where your post went when you use the "My Posts" function.

Sometimes the Mods have to make judgement calls. They have guidelines that they try very hard to follow.

Main is for quilting talk only... so if you veer very far off of that when creating your topic, it will probably get moved to Chit Chat.

In the topic you are referring to, you wrote about a number of things that were not quilting related. A Mod may have read that it was more about the other things,(the comment about the trots may have had something to do with it too lol) less about quilting, and that is my guess as to why it was moved. :D:D:D

ROFLOL may be! This is how I talk tho. Random. You will never get me to stick to just one topic in a post. I usually have the minimum of 2 separate thoughts going on at one time. I have OCD and can't help it. Makes it hard for others to keep up with me LOL But I never get bored with myself

please look at the number of posts within any 24 hour period.

we're thrilled by the participation and hope you'll keep it up, but that does make it impossible to send notifications of every single decision made.

a move is a service provided. the alternative would be to delete posts we find in the wrong place. that wouldn't be fun for any of us. :|

It is very easy to find your own posts. And your own topics that you started. It is easy to find a post from a buddy or anyone you are looking for. Just use the menu at the top of this page. The search option is there also.

I thought I was being helpful to lump things together into one topic. That way there wouldn't be a zillion different topics. Guess that is what I get for thinking!
