What I have been doing with my 1 1/2 inch scrap strips

Locker hooking - I am been working on this after work - just a row or two -I love using strips that I would normally get rid of. I am hoping to finish it in the next few weeks. I will use it for a rug in front of the stove.

That looks very pretty and a great way to use up the small scraps.

I love it! Must dig out that latch-hooking kit I bought 35 years ago and never got around to. Thanks for the idea.

Its really easy the latch hook needles are like 3.00 and the backing you use is only 3.99 at Ben Franklins. Joanne's also sells it but for double the price. Guess you can use a coupon and get it for the same as Ben Franklins. There are a few really good video out there. I also have been cutting up old wool coats that I will make a rug from. I love using the cotton left overs since I would otherwise not use it. It does take a lot of strips.

My husband loves the feel of the rug under his feet and has asked if I can make him insoles for his shoes. LOL...I just may try to do that.

Good for you to find another use for the 1-1/2" strips. I will use mine in a scrappy quilt, one of these days.

You can use 1 inch to. Wool, Cotton, felt or just about any thing...the thicker the fabric the more narrow the strips. I finished and now I am doing the binding. I am using all wool for the binding...it is looking really nice. So glad I am almost done. I did not interlock my strips this time instead I will sew them down in the back and then attack burlap and then use 3M rug tape to keep it from moving on the floor.
