My favorite part is lazily heating up leftovers all weekend long   and doing absolutely nothing but what I consider fun and relaxing 8) 8) 8)

My favorite part of the 4 day weekend is that I get to go to my daughter's and she does all the work (although I do help a 'little' bit *giggles*). And then there's always all the fabulous sales on Friday. And then there's know'n I can sleep in if my body would let me lol And then there's get'n ahead on customer quilts. But being w/my daughter is the best part :)
Oh & I 4got!!!!! Put'n up the xmas decos!!!!!

I've already got a cake made, cornbread is done for dressing, pumpkin pie is in oven, and everything set up to make the banana pudding on the table. I've got my groove on! yeah! 8)
After some replying on here and making the pudding, I am in the fun part of a quilted project.
Will slice and dice veggies later for the cornbread and the turkey that is thawing. Will make my tea in the morning, while turkey is roasting, then mash the potatoes, corn, gravy and greens will be in the crock pots.
Hubby will help me set up the big table and chairs and put out the dishes. Then shower and wait for all my kidlins and grandbabies to arrive. With camera close by, hugs and kisses all around, unwrapping the foods they bring, and blessings for our food, we will dig in! 8)
Then after some visiting and a quick wrap up, to keep until supper...LOL...that's a joke...on Thanksgiving we eat all afternoon  Rubbing our tummies, belching to make more room, and pigging out  (ain't that a pretty picture!)
After all the sharing old memories and laughing till we either are dependent or holding our sides, kids will drift off to other relatives homes and hubby will climb in to his recliner and snooze.
Then I will do some sewing and maybe check board to see if anyone is on...dreaming about Christmas. All the while thanking the good Lord for my many, many blessings. :D Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Being away from family, we travel up to Northern Wisconsin for 4 days with friends. 7 of us. We will have traditional on Friday when we are all there. My husband loves baking pies so today he is making pies that we will deliver this afternoon to friends and we leave tomorrow am. (with 3 pies for Up North). I make 2 different salads - everyone makes something. My kids are all on the West Coast (CA and WA) and do separate things with friends. Tiffany came from Alaska to spend it with her BFF and Cousin and step brother. Gabby and Steven are hosting a pot luck. Tom is married to a Korean sweetie and they are more a Korean family than traditional. Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Tell me something, please........describing your dinner and about the potatoes, gravy and veggies in crock pots......what's the recipe for the potatoes and the gravy. Sounded quite interesting......
anything to make things easier.......

of course, this year, we are going out.
.........no prep, no cooking, no serving and no clean-up.

We are thankful for all things........MaryJane
