Window cleaner
1/4 C rubbing alcohol
1/2 C white vinegar 3 C water in a spray bottle. My dog has left paw and nose prints all over. Along with everyday grime. This works so well. I was amazed. |
Thanks so much. With 8 dogs in the house we are very familiar with "dog art" on the windows and sliders. And, of course, that stuff is like super glue.
Dog art. Love that description.:D
thanks for sharing. I copied it to my recipes folder in my computer. This is a keeper for sure.
Hmmmm this would probably work great on the inside car windows too. Mirrors? Probably everything glass. Gonna have to make some up right now. I'm almost positive I've seen this recipe or one similar to it a long time ago but just never followed thru ...
Haa, I have dog art on my car windows too.
plain newspaper (no water) works too ... we used to have to clean kerosene lanterns that way ...
thanks, i have three cats and need that!!
Thanks, I will give it a try, when it gets warmer.
I use Invisible Glass, you can get it at Walmart in the automotive department, great stuff.
Thanks for the recipe, always love these home made varieties.

Also, put an ounce or two of that solution in your eyeglass lens cleaner bottle... works like a charm. No need to buy expensive "lens cleaner" either. |
I've used alcohol before and vinegar before - but never mixed them together. I'm going to try it out. Thanks for sharing.

We have three small dogs and everytime I take them to the park. Snose prints on all the windows of the car. Just to let you know it works great on car windows with newspaper to take it off. Easy a can be.
Thanks. Have been using Windex for many years so now will try something new ...to me.
Newspapers may work well, but the residue that they leave is really hard to remove. Wipe a "white gloved hand" over the windows and you'll see what I mean.

I also us Invisible Glass - it is wonderful.
Yes, this works real good.
Thanks for the recipe. Today, my DH asked me clear out of the blue if I wanted to go to lunch. I said yes immediately and we took the truck so we could pick up some fluorescent tube bulbs. Lo and behold, dog art all on the passenger side window and hair all over the seat and on my seat and my back. Gotta love them.
Thanks for the good idea. We have three dogs and so I know about noses and paws as well. Can't wait to try this.
Great timing - I just ran out of glass cleaner and wanted a homemade recipe. Thanks.
Thanks, I dont like Windex , I will try this instead !
thanks for the recipe. And love the "dog art". Our dog went to heaven a few years ago and I left some of his art on the patio door. Now we are getting new doors and that will be gone forever. And I will use the new solution to keep it clean!
