Last weekend was entertianing, and taxes - then of course a bit of shopping with the tax money. The weekend before was my husbands birthday, and the weekend before that was "planning" for his birthday. I am pooped! So . . .this weekend . . it is all quilting all day! I can't wait. I got new $1.00 fabric from Walmart, all my pieces for my current project cut and ready to sew, and the most exciting is one of those little packets from Joanns that teach you something by giving you the fabric for a small wall hanging. I got the February one that is a little bit of sashing and what will be my first attmept at applicay (See, I don't even know how to spell it!!) This is the July - I actually got the February.

Wish me luck!

Here it is! My first attempt at Applacy (again - I can not spell it!) and my first binding. My corners were easier than I thought - but my white thread shows where I went a bit crooked. All in all - I am pretty happy with it. Now I want to get the other months!

Tomorrow is my bedroom quilt top . .

Adorable. And just in time for Valentine's Day.

I admire your determination to set aside a whole day for learning. Which, by your picture, you did :-D

A mystery quilt project is another way of getting through a daily challenge, except there are others on the journey with you. I have yet to keep up, but the goal still remains.

Lovely hearts...and good for you, setting aside time for quilting. Now if I could just get my behind off this computer chair and do a bit of ironing I will have at least 2 hours with my sewing machine!
