Wonder Under on Iron
My daughter is learning to sew/quilt and wanted to do some applique using wonder under. She did fine here at the house with me, but had to take some stuff home to finish. And you probably know how it goes with the wonder under. Yep, it is on the bottom of the iron.
I have not seen the iron yet but was wondering how ya'll deal with this problem. I figured some information before tackling this would be very helpful. Thanks a bunch. |
Try ironing a dryer sheet with the warm iron...should get the goo off.

I always use my Applique pressing sheet to prevent the build-up. Worth the $$. I hate cleaning the iron. Try the Mr Clean Magic Eraser. I end up using that tube of iron cleaner esp if it really baked on.

Hmmm, dryer sheets to de-goo an iron...who knew? I need to try that. Thanks.

Is that a new dryer sheet or a used one?

Dryer sheet works for me, keep one handy at ironing board.

My mother use to wrap an old t-shirt around a bar of paraffin several times and iron over it to clean her iron.

A fine layer of salt on tin foil, then ironed on hi usually works well too. Good luck

All interesting ideas. I used the tube of iron cleaner and it worked.
