Wow

I have not checked out the site for a few months and it is all different.
I wasn't sure I was even in the right place. I am so confused.

It has gotten complicated and things that were so easy to do now take alot of time and steps. A lot of members wanted to walk away and some did. But even though I complained and wanted to leave, I've tried to learn the "new" board and I'm still in the learning phase (I'm on this board every day). Hang in there and don't hesitate to ask for help.

We all feel your pain. You'll probably find that you don't want to come on here regularly because of the changes, but don't give up. I know I'm back to about the time I spent before after months of just peeking in and trying to figure things out. So ... yes, we've all had "issues" with the changes, but hang in there. There are several help threads to ease your way.

Yes, there is a lot different and may take some time to get used to. If you have questions or just want to read about the questions others have had about the new QB, please visit http://www.quiltingboard.com/qb-help-center-f27/

go to the bottom of the page and click on "archives"...great place to start!!!

We all kind of bucked at the changes and voiced our complaints and yes some did leave but most of us stayed here and helped each other out with questions. So please stay with us and ask all the questions you want on where things are we will be more than happy to help you navigate.

well Baby, join the rest of us on being confused. I do know you can go up to the top right side and click on My Profile and under your avatar you can then click on various places to find things. i use it to find recent posts I've done.
good luck.

I don't rush to get on this early in the AM. Right now I did not get today's and it is no where on my computer either.

Jingle 02-24-2012 05:33 PM

I guess I was very lucky, I did not have problems learning this new board. I just read, poked around and learned it.

Learner747 02-24-2012 05:33 PM

At first I was completely lost and so discouraged. But I am the tenacious type and persevered. You will like it the more you navigate.

OHSue 02-24-2012 07:59 PM

I have been back and forth, I do find it a bit more cumbersome and the activity level seems down, but I am trying to stick with it.

SunlitenSmiles 02-25-2012 05:49 AM

it is better now that it is not the glaring white.......and now i am used to the opening logo that looks like connecting threads web page (unfortunate choice) THE most important part are the people, the quilters, our friends from many states and many countries......that is what is really important and makes it worth learning the new 'stuff' .... so thank you again to the moderators and all who make this possible...............

margee 02-25-2012 07:50 AM

I joined right before the change to new format. I did not like the new way! But have learned more & more how to use the new site & find what I want with the help of all the quilters on this board. I would hate to see anyone walk away since it's getting easier & it's such an informative & enjoyable site.

Nan C 02-25-2012 03:28 PM

You will get the hang of it unless they change it again....I liked the old one better, but what can I say this is progress!
I too am a Grandma Nancy :)

Mad Mimm 02-25-2012 04:26 PM

There are plenty of tips and info available on navigating the new board plus the users who have figured things out have shared their knowledge along the way. You can do it! Just hang in there and eventually you will be comfortable with the new board. Welcome back!!

katesnanna 02-25-2012 05:43 PM

Look at it as a new learning experience - brain training. Just don't give up.
Patrice has been very helpful and you will see the new section QB Help Center at the end of busiest threads.
Of course you can ask us as well. Stay with us as we do still get some interesting threads.
Welcome back.

Dolphyngyrl 02-25-2012 08:22 PM

Yes the old board was easier, but you do get used to this one after a while and archives really helps

Ruby the Quilter 02-25-2012 10:09 PM

It just took me sometime to figure it out. Definitely more complicated - and doesn't seem to have as much.
