I have just been watching for the second time a documentary about Yellowstone Park, how beautiful it is, this programme was in the winter, part about a man called Geoff who is a snow remover, fancy that, snow sometimes metres thick, if ever I get to USA this is the first place I would go, any of you live nearby? Is it as beautiful as it seems on t.v.?

I' ve been there a couple of times but only in the summer and it's beautiful then - I'd love to visit in the winter as well.

I was there for a week and I was in awe everyday of the things we saw. So many geyser pools with boiling hot water coming out of them and such pretty colors. If you go you have to see the one called morning glory. Absolutley an amazing and beautiful sight to see. I did not realize until I was there as to how much I had been missing.

It's one of my favorite places. I went there a lot on family vacations when I was growing up. My husband and I still like to visit every few years. It's even more impressive when you're actually there. I've never visited the park in the winter but would like to. If you go, allow yourself enough time. There's plenty to see. I'm still discovering new things. I think it should be on everyone's bucket list.

I wen t in the spring and it was amazing- on one side of the mountain snow 6 feet deep - the other clear- my parents have a pic of my playing in the snow with a short sleeve top on . It is amazing - and all the wildlife around . The Grand Tetons are right there also and those are beautiful also :lol:

we were there in APril, wanted to drive through but couldn't - the pass we wanted to go through on the east side, they don't even plow out until June.

It is more beautiful and amazing in person!! Definitely a must see :D:D:D

We go there every year in the Spring. It is a beautiful place and so much to see. We have been in the fall to and the colors are beautiful. Plus the bull elk have on their beautiful antlers and they stay around the visitors center at Mammoth Hot Springs. We love it there but have never been in the Winter. Can't wait to go back. We also spend a couple weeks in Jackson Hole and enjoy that to. Those mountains are just georgous.

We spent 7 summers as volunteers in Yellowstone. It is an amazing place. We worked at Snake River Ranger Station. I was in the backcountry office and arranged backpacking trips and sold fishing and boating permits. Also did a lot of directing and helping people decide what to see. Be sure when you come to visit the park allow plenty of time. It's a huge place and you can't see it in a day. you can barely drive through it in a day! A minimum of 3 days just to see the main attractions, and 5 or more to do any hiking or side trips. I was sorry to see our days there end, but the drive out was so far from TN, and I picked up an intestinal parasite the last year we were there.
