You pet your stash more than your pets...

A birth announcement sends you into a torrent of fabric digging...

When you see a quilt pattern on public floors; or in anything for that matter...

Feel free to keep the list going :)

LOL! I love it!

Diannia 08-02-2011 07:52 AM

When everytime you see a license plate that starts w/a "Q" you automatically think the person is a quilter and get all excited!

Your clothing is adorned with strings and threads:)

LisaGibbs 08-02-2011 08:03 AM

you look at your co-worker, husband, friend's clothes and think that the fabric would look wonderful in a quilt.

Montana Quilter 08-02-2011 08:06 AM

Could care less if you ever cooked supper again-takes time away from quilting!

RenaB 08-02-2011 08:37 AM

When you go from never checking the mail to running to the mail box everyday to see if your quilt mag or coupons came that day :D

When you drive 30 miles for a fat quarter you need.

When you are watching the Today Show today and see some squares behind the guest's heads and wonder if you can duplicate that in a quilt?????

Ramona Byrd 08-02-2011 10:04 AM

I look at my old fashioned metal percolator and
think what a cute quilt pattern it would make.

RitaFaye 08-02-2011 10:17 AM

hahaha I can relate to each and everyone of these, oddly
I don't think I am a die hard quilter but then maybe I am. Rita

Yes! I have been known to BEG my husband to drive me to Manhattan (50 miles away) for me to pick up 1 item. It is the only time he has ever said, "I really think you need to go back into the store and get some more stuff". :)

loves_2_quilt 08-02-2011 11:34 AM

When you will press 10 yards of fabric but won't iron the family clothing.

MadQuilter 08-02-2011 11:53 AM

When you sit with friends at the county fair and realize that the colorful bulbs on the ride are really a set of flyin geese and a star.

Yes love this one. I hate ironing so knowing that everything needs pressing in quilting almost turned me off but now I love pressing.....I still hate ironing

pumpkinpatchquilter 08-03-2011 03:34 AM

When really any major, or even not so major event warrants the creation of a quilt. ;)

Oh, I've done this one......my first quilt top is so similar to that on the Today show background; actually, I'm looking at it now.

tsp3400 08-03-2011 05:15 AM

When instead of empty nest cause your daughter moved out you get excited cause you now have a "sewing room" instead of your sewing stuff strewn accross the house.

Tweety2911 08-03-2011 05:15 AM

Ditto to all! LOL :-)

I totally do this!! There's a diamond pattern on the floor where I work, and I always see a quilt block there. Sheesh, and I thought I was the only one...........

When neighbors come over to visit and know to just walk in and down to the sewing room!

Carol Ann 08-03-2011 06:42 AM

When you go to a restaurant and notice the tile half walls and start sketching it so you can put it into a quilt.

Selena 08-03-2011 06:57 AM

When you notice every quilt on every program on tv or movie and study it instead of watching the show.

Oh yes!!! And I'm always whipping out my digital camera to take pictures of the weirdest things that I think would make a cool quilt  Then I spend hours every day here on QB

Your daughter decides to brush the dog and she has threads in her fur! True story.

Shelbie 08-03-2011 12:49 PM

You ask your daughter to check your clothes for stray threads before you leave for your guild meeting and her response is "Why bother because all of your friends will look just the same".

Meme2six 08-03-2011 01:21 PM

Whenever you watch a show on TV you look for any quilts that might be in the show and don't concentrate on the show itself.

Kimkankwilt 08-03-2011 02:09 PM

you ask for a new iron for your birthday...
