Purple Peppers...

Anyone ever tasted these? I didn't have cash today when I wandered into the Farmers market.
But the COLOR!! divine...

Hopefully when we head over the hill next month one of those roadside stands will have some.

Aren't those eggplants?

I know of 6 colors of bell peppers...green, red, yellow, orange and black and purple. But those kinda looked like eggplants at first glance.

look closely at the bottoms of the peppers and you can see the difference.

They really do. I haven't seen quite that coloring before.

I thought eggplant, too. The peppers I've seen were more uniform in color.

Mom and I spent the morning at our local, very busy, farmers market, too. Very crowded, yea, but lots of fun. A fabulous new bakery was added this year....saw a gal eating the most divine "design-your-own-crepe with Nutella, bananas, and walnuts, just wanted to plant my face right over in it! Gorgeous flowers, veggies, peaches and melons, breads, and art......Great morning!
