question about fusing foam
I "inherited" some upholstery samples from a neighbor and planned to make floor cushions for my son's family for Christmas. Then I priced foam! Yikes! anyway, a friend had several of the regular green foam that is the right size square (BIG) but is only 2" thick and I was wanting 4" thick. So my question is do you think it would work to spray either basting spray or a craft adhesive on them to fuse two together? I figure I will need to tie the center anyway.

I'll defer to elnan's recommendation about the special adhesive but would otherwise say go for it. Commercial upholsterers and manufacturers have been doing this for decades to get the desired thickness and density for particular applications.

This is brand I used to glue foam together when I upholstered.

3m adhesive is a good brand for this application. Try Wal Mart, Home Depot etc to buy it.
