Default Question about making a checkbook cover for duplicate checks

What do you use for the piece that is placed under the top check and copy? I am going to try cutting the plastic piece from a regular cover but I’m thinking there has to be something better to use!<o></o>

I use a plastic file folder -in bright orange= cut to size. Have been using it for several years now; may need to
check and see if it needs replacing.

Thanks for all the replies! They bring up another question.....do you sew your piece in?

I just use a piece of a recipe card, cut to fit.

What about using a piece of template plastic?

How about cutting a piece of the back cover of a spiral notebook. You'd have the holes to hand stitch it into your checkbook cover.

Another possibility ... cut apart one of those pocket envelopes for 3 ring binders that you slide a page.

Hardly ever write checks anymore, but you could buy a plastic folder of cutting board, and cut a piece to fit.
