I know there are some quilters here from Austrailia....how are you surviving the floods and now the snakes?????????????? :shock:

well, those poor snakes don't necessary like a lot of water either. they want to find a dry place. just hopefully not in someone's house.
flood waters aren't always safe. I always am amazed at people who just go out walking or swimming in them. not me!

queensland+new south wales have it realy bad--- under water is an area the size of germany and italy combined --large towns and small already devestated by years of drought now weeks and weeks unable to earn as mines under water shops under water crops ruined------many many could not afford or not get flood insurance--they are going to need all our prayers and as much help as we can give--imagin the clean up ahead of them the loss of family treasures---this they say is greater than the 1 in 100 year floods hey aussie has only been settled for 200 years we need our idigenous peoples to educate us more but as always we know better!!

I heard on the national news tonight about the snakes and also crocs!! Please be extra careful dear aussie friends! Our thoughts and prayers are with you!! I can't begin to imagine going through something like that. :cry:
