yes and wedge shoes are easier to walk in than high heels for some reason.

I even had to get a pair of fancy flat shoes to wear to weddings. Can't wear heels at all.

Okay, thanks for the help. I was thinking it was a 2.5" rise from the toes to the heel, and 2.5 is about the maximum I can handle. I won't wear 3" or 4" heels! I had plantar faciitis for a long time, so heels were one of the more comfortable styles I COULD wear.

I'm going to have to look around for those Crocs - I've got a pair of mammoths, which are sooo comfy and I use them as slippers. However, my neighbor has a pair of croc heels and she lives in them.

I think they're sturdier because they have a solid base. I won't wear heels with stilettos or a narrow heel. They have to have a big, chunky, solid heel (or be wedges).

Now, retired at 63, I have to buy very special shoes because wearing heels that high had wedged my big toes into the toe of the shoe at such angles that I have caused my toe joint to be pushed out of wack (bunions?) and the only solution would be an operation on both feet where they shave off some of the bone (I dont think they can force your toe back in position at the joint), which would not allow me to be wearing these heels again.
Some days my toes just ache like fire and even though I looked pretty hot in those shoes back in the day! I'd gladly give them up to be able to just put on anything I'd like and walk.
I think those shoes are great cus even though you have a "high" heel, the platform takes that massive crush of your full weight off your toes. - just sharing what my mother warned me about but I learned the hard way lol sharet
i had that surgery, needed it the pain was so bad in my foot. no more high heels for me ever. I'm sticking with comfort before fashion.
