Default MA & CT Quilters

I got this idea from another poster......wondering how many quilters on the board are in my area. I live on the border of Western MA. Right on the CT line. Any others around this area? We have some great quilt guilds and shows etc.

I'm very close to you, in West Springfield. We also have some really great quilt shops in the area.

Hello! I'm in Springfield and yes, there are some great shops in the area. The annual shop hop is coming up in October!

I've never been on a shop hop......how do you learn about it? I particularly like Sew Inspired in Simsbury CT and Southhampton Quilts in Southhampton MA. Are they on the shop hop tour?

Yes, Southampton Quilts is on the shop hop, as is Quilts and Treasures in Longmeadow, the Quilt and Cabbage in Sturbridge. There are 8 shops altogether. If you pm your address I can send you a flyer. The farthest (from me) is A Notion to Quilt in Shelburne Falls, about an hour, but it is so worth the trip! You buy your 'passport' and have it stamped at each shop you go to. They each have specials for the event, snacks for shoppers, and free goodies. Bring your address labels because each shop usually has a raffle. It's a fun way to get out with friends and visit shops you may not otherwise. If you do go up to Shelburne Falls make time to also visit The Textile Company in Greenfield. They don't participate in the shop hop, but it's place you don't want to miss! I spend hours in there. It's been there forever. I lived in Greenfield growing up and have always shopped there for fabric.
