Default Quilted but not a quilt

My daughter asked me to make this ( sleeping bag) for my great grandson who is turning one in a couple weeks. It was an adventure!
It is puffy, flannel, cozy, soft. Finished it today. Just grabbed a Teddy to stick in it for the picture. My daughter thinks it's awesome and will get a lot of use. I hope so, it had some challenging moments- I really didn't know what I was doing. I used Hobbs fusible batting which I stuffed with puffy fiberfill, quilted it then made the cover.
Im glad it's over & turned out.

How cute! Does he slide into it or did you add a zipper or some other sort of closure?

No zipper, just slide in, I thought about Velcro on one side but then vetoed that idea by the time I got the cover stuffed. I just folded the bottom up and stitched the two sides ( which was a challenge I'm guessing because it's so puffy- thickness of double batting doubled plus 4 layers of flannel) that is how my daughter wanted it anyway.

My hubby went shopping without me and chose that ( tiger stripe?) fabric- he wanted camouflage- thought the fabrics I had weren't boyish enough. I about had a heart attack when he brought it home- thought it was going to clash horribly with what I had to work with, and he didn't get enough to use it for inside and out ( thank goodness!)
i like it now but boy, it took a couple days of me looking at that fabric.
My hubby- he's a wonderful, funny guy sometimes. I love that he will go into fabric/ quilt shops and shop without me even if he doesn't really know what I may need.
