Louise when I'm piecing I use shades of gray, seems to disapear with almost any color. Except black and white, for that I use the black and white thread.

Louise, I use color thread on most quilts.. then I have a few that I just used a light gray ... depends on my mood at the time I think

Does anyone here use a lot of heavy interfacing? I use it when I make a purse or for an embroidery stabilizer... I'm asking because I'm wondering if it would be a good RAK?

I'm curious because I LOVE to use colors so I have a "healthy"
supply of the CT thread sets, but I also make sure I keep more
than enough black and (mainly) white on hand.

I happen to think about this because I finally got my CT order
delivered today and I couldn't stop ooohhing and awwwing
over my colors (as usual).

Even got a small amount of fabric 1 yard each of three different
colors cherry red, yellow and purple (yes that is a small amount for me).
I generally use natural or white. If I machine quilt, I try to match up the colors or I will just go natural.

i usually use neutral colors to piece with, white, black, tan but havent tried the gray yet. i dont have any gray thread now but when i start on my modern quilt made with various grays, i will buy some gray thread. i love the CT thread colors.
