i like them both. the pattern looks to be 4 charms squares folded over a 5th one. is that correct louise?
ok so i keep coming up with quilts i want to design/make even before i am finished with the ones i am working on. does this happen to others besides me?
i do think after i get things a bit more under control, i will set up a 3rd sewing machine in the living room (it's in a cabinet), go to the $1 store & get a copula more laundry baskets to keep the projects in at each machine. my thinking is that once i get the tops made, i can take a few days to layer, baste & quilt. besides i want to try fmq on both my 15-91 and my 301a.
i am sure all of this in theory (in my mind) makes sense but...... i see a few ufo's in the making. oh well, my progress will be on my blog.

LOL Thanks Teresa.
What makes mine look prettier is I chose prettier fabrics to use.
Cathy (the lady who made mine) just grabbed scraps from her bin
she didn't care what they looked like or anything she sent them to
use as a"diagram" for making them.
She also included directions, but I had a hard time following them
just by reading, so I am working on my OWN tutorial that will be
WITH pictures. Step by step even.

Mary your not alone.
I have started and/or designed so many quilts in the 6-1/2 years
since I began quilting that I would have to live to be 250 yr old just
to finish what I have designed much less what I have already as UFQ's.
But I DO hope someday if/when I ever get more working room to finish
my "Little Things" quilt. I have the top almost finished need to add my 3
borders, then it will be ready for sandwiching, quilting & binding.
Here are pictures of that quilt top.

And the celebration continues ...
We went out to the restaurant where my son is a chef for lunch. Here is Jaunty Melissa and my son Blaze
Since Blaze cooked, it was wonderful ... as you can tell by the glazed look in my and my husband's eyes ... I'm a little unkempt since the restaurant is right off the beach ...
And then I got home to a wonderful surprise from QuiltyMom. Darn it! I would have worn that crown to the restaurant. She sent me a tooting horn, a delightfully frothy scarf, birthday candies ... mmmm .... some for each hip!

Louise, I would love to get the instructions also for the little coasters. I love your fabrics.
I started the day with "cleaning". DD is coming home this weekend and we might need the dining room table to eat on. So am slowly moving things/fabrics/junk downstairs again. Then this afternoon I sandwiched a scrappy toddler quilt and 2 small wall hangings for the Alzheimer's Assoc. DH is out of town this week, so it's just Mom and I. Will have a few days to get some quilting done.
Teresa, thoughts and prayers are with you. Cancer runs in both of sides of the family, so one of these days....
Take care everyone - be good to yourself!!!

Mary - More or less yes that is about how the coasters are made.
K - I am working on a tutorial WITH pictures hope to have it finished
tomorrow.
Now here is the coaster I made while working on the tutorial pictures.
I used flannel as my batting and it worked much easier.

Dear Friends,
Many of you know Jan Rutherford. She is a very special sister/friend of mine. I need to let you know that her sweet husband of 31 years passed away suddenly at 2:35 this morning. Jan is devastated, as you can imagine, but her faith in God is STRONG. She will make it through this, but she will need the love and support of her quilty friends. Feel free to PM Quilty-Louise, Lori Peercy or me for her address if you are so inclined. It will mean so much to her to have you all praying for her during this most difficult time.
