Jean - I truly sympathize with you. I live in CA and my kids and grandkids live in NJ and DE. It has been nearly 2 years since I saw them - way too long, but work and everyone's life schedules just get in the way. Cry all you want and need to - it does help cleanse the blues and time does heal all wounds. It doesn't make it easier, but it does help make it livable. And you have many, many people on here that care.

Misc - Mrsaj11 has indeed been busy. Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't even see her on the RAK list, so I added her to my database list myself. I like to keep track of what I send and get and when - just because I'm an accountant and can't help myself from being organized.

Lynnie - Can't wait to see your name on the list. I love learning what things people like to do. We are all so different, but bonded by a common interest. It humbles me how wonderful and giving sewers and crafters are.

So, I guess that's my 22 cents for the day (inflation you know). Blessings to all.

Thank you all for your wishes - it does help to have cyber friends. My DD keeps trying to get me to do things but just not ready. So I sew, sew, sew...A couple sew buddies and I get together on Monday's & Weds, and sew, chat and laff.. it's helped a lot this week. I'm not quite sure why this move has bothered me so much more than when he left the other times - maybe time, I don't know. I just know I wasn't so miserable the other times, BUT it will get easier.. THANKS for your thoughts. Have a good weekend..

Hugs
Jean

Lynnie,

I sent you the "list form" last week, and again just a couple minutes ago.

Check you email and spam folder.

This a post to thank "EVERROSE" for the nice surprise I rec'd in today's mail. A generous stack of fabric in favorite designs and colors. Will be so useful for Yo Yo's....a silicone hot pad and the most fragrant sachet... Her enclosed card was so nice and I think it may have been crafted by her.

Thank-you Di for reaching out to me in such a delightful way!

This too is a thank you to Everrose...I received a sweet handmade card welcoming me to the RAK group. You should see the sexy doll on the front ......my favorite...Ms. Betty Boop of course. Thank you Di, it really brought a smile to my face, and brightened my day.

Lynnie - I enjoyed reading about your sand collection. Very creative of you. Do you have sand from the Pacific Ocean beaches - Santa Cruz, Monterey, Carmel or the like? And I trust small vials are your container of choice? Have a great day and I hope you found your list from Louise.

Greetings Everyone!!! I finished my mission project of 50 pair of pillow cases to the Standing Rock Indian Reservation Christmas party. I was so excited to put the last one in the box. Now to make some raspberry jam and then send them on their way.

Lynnie - do you have sand from Maui, Hawaii? I can send you regular sand and some from the Black Beach. I wouldn't mind going back there, but not with 3 girls ages 21 - 25.

I get to go to a quilt show tomorrow. Haven't been to one for years, so it will be exciting. Do I need anything - NO, but am sure I will find something that will want to come home with me.

Glad you ladies got your packages. (Some more went out today.) Yes, the cards are ones that I have made. All that fabric has been cut my hands.
