I am wondering if there is another brand or product other than Fray check to use. This one has a strong odor to breath for me.

just curious, what are you using it for to use so much to breathe the odor? i only use it in drops and wasn't aware of a smell at all

I think they would all be similar in smell, due to the chemicals used in them :D:D:D

back when fray cameon the scence.... my objection was it made the fabric stiff..... have they improved it, so it no longer makes the fabric stiff and hard?

I was just going around an applique I was too lazy to zig zag and I was leaning down close to my work and noticed the strong smell . I knew it had an odor but not this strong and that got me wondering if there was another item that does the same,I guess I was just looking for a faster fix!

once dry-no odor
there are products - other glues- like liquid stitch=
i had never heard of anyone using fray-check on some quilted item- it has always made what i used it on like a board. i've only used it around the raw edges of embroidery fabrics or rug backings to keep them from fraying while being worked on- after the needle work-or rug is done it is covered with binding- or finished somehow so that stiffness does n't matter---
using it for quilting---does it soften up when it's washed?? i've not used it on anything that's washable...never considered it...boy- now i have lots of questions...and you
