Really OT - looking for grape leaves
#1
We want to make pickles from the bazillion cucumbers that we're harvesting, and we just got a 3-gallon crock to do it in. The recipie in the "Joy of Pickling" calls for a bunch of grape leaves (or sour cherry leaves) to line the bottom of the crock and put on top to both flavor the brine and cushion the cukes from resting on the bottom of the crock, and helping with "scum management" on the top of the brine.
Problem is, we've been looking in what seems *everywhere* and we can't find any (we're in Central NJ). The grocery stores don't have any and the Greek market is closed Mondays! What KIND of store should we be looking in to find this stuff?

Could you possibly use wild grape leaves? We're just in the next state over and there is NO SHORTAGE of wild grapevines, anywhere there's an overgrown lot or field.
