i was at work, on a break, outside sitting on cement steps when i it felt like they were moving, and got every so slightly dizzy. i thought, oh crap . . . old age? vertigo? brain tumor? then just let it go. when i got home, i was quite relieved that it happened around the same time as the earthquake! whew!!!

I really felt it here in Brooklyn. I was at work, which is a second floor of an old apartment building. It lasted about 10 seconds. Of all the local people I've spoken with, it seems those who were ground level felt it very little or not at all. Those of us on 2nd floor or higher felt it a lot more. I never felt an earthquake before, and hope I don't again. I hope everyone who got it worse than me is doing well.
