Dear Chase, it is because of people like you, I am able to make the dolls lovely. I get excited when I go to the lace/trim supplies and decide what will go on which dress, and pretty much throw myself into doing the very best I can to make it pretty. I think I can almost see the smiles of the little girls and feel the excitement when I dress the boys so they look like little men for the guy kids. I get more out of making them, I think, than the children that get them. I hope I can continue for a long time. The newest doll I have made reminds me of a story, this one being of a similar dress with a pink background I had made for the ACS to give out. I was told that when the child got the doll, her parents said it was the first time in months they'd seen her smile. That makes it all worthwhile.

May the good Lord bless all of you for your love and caring nature, in meeting their needs. I really appreciate all the gifts and encouragement on behalf of these kids. Thanks so much.

There was just a program on Sewing With Nancy about this doll being made for abused wemen. Sized so the could carry them in a pocket or purse. What a wonderful group of women and men who make these for them.
God Bless

Dear Vickey,

My husband and I were very happy to help with your loving project. You put smiles on little ones faces and that my friend is such a wonderful thing. To see any child smile makes my day.

Chase

p.s. Do you have any pictures of your little men dolls? I can't remember seeing any.

If you could email me, I'd send you a picture with some of the boys in it.

Kudos to you Vickey for what you do. I know God has his plan but I find it quite distressing hearing of little ones like Scarlett when there are so many who don't respect the life they were given. Keep up the good work. I'm sure you and your dolls have brought happiness to lots of sick children and their families.

I make quilts for abused/neglected kids and know how it makes me feel.

That's a wonderful thing you are doing. It warms my heart to hear these little ones, that deserve more, are getting comfort from others, even though we are strangers to them. I so agree with what you said about so many kids don't appreciate what they have. Thanks for writing to me. I really appreciate it.
