When we lived up there, I always loved going to Pike's Market Place down by the wharfs. There's all kinds of goodies to look at. Enjoy. It's beautiful up there in the summer.
Fabric Depot is nearby but I don't know where.
go to pikes place market and also to the seattle sicence center and go to the top of the space needle beautiful views from there..... also go to fishermans warf, pier 79... lots of restaurants to try out also pioneer place .
In Federal Way there is a rhodendeum garden. lots of other wild flowers, beautifully maintained.
Take a Ferry boat ride.
Lots of good restaurants & good shopping downtown.
Plan on a full day at Pikes Market, so much to see.
Take a heavy sweater, gets chilly even in June.
Fabric Depot is in Portland Oregan, Nice drive, may be an overnight jaunt. Mt St Helens between Seattle & Portland. Also Mt Rainer is beautiful Park, but a long drive from Seattle.
Have fun
Pike place market is a must see. There is even a quilt shop,Undercover quilts.
Snoqualmie Falls and casino, a ferry ride to Bainbridge island.
Reseach at places before going.
I love Undercover Quilts at Pike Place.
Well, it's a state away, in Portland.Originally Posted by franie
In Seattle we really enjoyed the tour of the underground.
I read a review of the underground tour and several people said not to take it. Like going thru someone's crumbling basement. And the jokes were all sexual. Must be the tour guide.
We took the tour quite a few years ago, and the tour guide's spiel was hilarious (and not with sexual jokes, though the "sewing ladies", who were actual prostitutes, were mentioned often). I found the history of the underground very interesting.Originally Posted by spinnergs
