Mine are apparently very busy collecting dust from someone else's house and bringing to my house. They are very fond of high places and deposit most of their findings on the blades of my cieling fans.

I am sure if I am just patient long enough, my elves will return.

Mine has drug out all my scraps and have yet to put them back or use them up. I think they have also brought in some dust and spread it all over my sewing room. I think they forgot where I live.

This reminds of a "good fairy" story. Many years ago, I worked as office manager for two physicians. There was a third physician who shared space with us, but not the practice. He had his own office manager. She and I shared an office. I would go to the post office each day and pick up our mail. One day, as I was leaving, I told my buddy that I sure hoped the good fairy came and cleaned off my desk while I was gone. It was one of those old, huge, metal desks. We laughed, I left. When I got back to the office about 15 minutes later, there was not one thing on my desk! Not even a pencil. She had gotten the nurses to come and help her take everything off my desk and move it out of our office! I almost peed myself laughing so hard!! Never again did I wish for the good fairy!

I don't have fairies that clean, only gremlins that hide things.
