So I was blessed enough to win a $100 gift card on the shop hop and received the email about it last week. The problem I have is I have yet to hear from the store my question is how long should I wait to contact the store I dont want to seem rude or demanding but I dont want to miss out either! What would you do?

Congrats.. I found out Friday that I won.. And the shop emailed me the same day.. I think if I was you I would email them. I cant wait for anything. If it was me I would send an email basically stating you were notified by the Fabshop Hop and you were wondering what you need to do to claim your prize. I do not think it would be rude. I think the shop should have already notified you. If Fabshop notified you.. I am sure they notified the shop.
Please keep us posted on what you won.

I've had it happen both ways. The shop notifies me or I have to contact them. I believe it says in the email from fabshophop what you are supposed to do to collect. I've never won more than $10, though. Congratulations!

Woohoo and congrats. I think there is nothing wrong with contacting them.

I just got through shipping out a quilt kit to our lucky winner for the August shophop. Each shop in the hop is giving 1 prize, which is a 100 dollar shopping spree or a quilt kit worth $100. The choice of which to give is up to the shop.

The way it is supposed to work is you'll get an email from Fabshophop telling you that you've won a prize. The shop is given your name, address and email address and is supposed to contact you telling you what you need to know to redeem the prize at their shop.

The person telling you that Fabshop was supposed to give you a certificate number was incorrect. If they are giving a 100 dollar GC or shopping spree, it is up to the shop to establish the GC and advise you how to redeem it.

The person at the shop may have been confused, as in most hops the email coming from fabshophop does give you a certificate number for the prizes, which are most often worth 10 dollars. For the August hop though, the procedure is changed since the shops are giving one 100 dollar prize instead of 10 ten dollar prizes.

I would suggest you email the shop and ask her to look at the email she got from Fabshophop, which explains to the shop owner what to do.

If you don't get any satisfaction from the shop owner, contact Laurie or Mandi at Fabshophop.com and tell them about the situation, and ask their help in resolving it.

Good luck!
