I was cleaning the filter on my garden pond yesterday being watched by my cat Charlie who was laying on the bridge sunning himself (he is 20 years old) I spun round having heard a loud plopping noise and there was Charlie hauling himself out of the pond - guess he rolled over!!! after giving him a rub and cuddle in a towel he seems none the worse for his swim he did look funny though climbing out and doing the swagger thing that cats do when they make a mistake :)

I had a cat that fell into our fish pond well I can tell you he was in and out so fast he hardly got wet. it was so funny tho so I can imagine how you would have laughed at him adding insult to injury. I always say to my cats if you are going to make an idiot of yourself you are not supposed to do it infront of your human.

Poor charlie, I can just see it happening. My younger cat loves water though and cannot wait till we turn on the sprinkler.

Poor Charlie - what a rude awakening after napping in the sun. Luckily you were there to help him recover his cat dignity.

Love it! Have a cat that used to fall asleep on a kitchen chair and would roll off! At least she didn't get wet!
