Sisters Quilt Show rained out!!!

I agree. I came up on a bus from California with 46 quilters and we stopped at 6 Oregon quilt shops on our way to the quilt show. When we returned to the bus after each of those 6 shops, we passed the clipboard and each wrote down how much we spent there. When we totaled it all up -- 6 quilt shops plus the Sisters Quilt Show -- we spent $17,044.00! With the economy the way it is, I'm sure they did just fine!

Where was that posted.....I'm interested. Considering Sisters has the highest land/home prices in the county, and have events all summer long, I fail to see why 2 hours of non-sales would hurt them so badly! Sorry -- still skeptical!!! I'm not trying to start a fight -- just dadgum curious!

Thanks.....
Okay -- After reading this I can see where they say they didn't make all the $$ they wanted/needed. But the town itself is not hurting... THAT's what I thought of with your comment.
Now I need to go back and figure out where we can become "friends"...
