Awesome power of nature! And it can both be beautiful and destructive.

Katrina put 3 feet of storm surge water in our house. What a nightmare! Everything except pictures on the wall went out to the street. We were in Texas running away. Couldn't get back in for 10 days. The frig was on it's back and what a mess. We snuck in @ day 5 and put wood under the beds and dressers so they wouldn't wick any more water and could be off the wet floor. Very few items were saved. I know not many speak of this, but the absolute worst part of experiencing Katrina was the Red Cross. They came on the radio and announced that if you needed money - call 1-800-XXX-XXXX which tied up all phone lines for weeks. You couldn't even call your own family locally because all the circuits were busy. They should have done like ins companies and just come in with trailers to hand out their little cash cards. Where was this picture taken?

That sky is a little scary. I haven't ever seen anything like that.
