Here's an interesting fact. My husband, my ex-boyfriend's mother, and I all worked at the same University Dining Center. My husband's father was in the Army, so my husband was born in South Korea. My ex-boyfriend's mother was in the Army stationed in South Korea at that time as well. She always joked that she was the first one to change my husband's diaper. After my father-in-law died, we found my husband's "Receipt of Delivery" in the safe. Sure enough, my ex-boyfriend's mother delivered my husband in South Korea, only to work with us both at a Dining Center in Iowa.

Has anyone else ever had this type of coincidence in their life?

It didn't happen to me, but to my brother-in-law. My family lives in central Texas, but my brother-in-law likes to hunt in Colorado. He was hunting there one time, climbing up and down the mountains so he decided to rest for a bit on a big rock. Soon another hunter came by and decided to rest there as well. They got to talking and found out they were each from Texas. After more questioning, it was discovered that the second man was the neighbor of my aunt and uncle who live in south Texas. We have visited there often and the man's children used to cover over to my uncle's house to play with us when we were kids.

My DH and I grew up 5 miles from each other our entire lives and never met until Jan 2005.

My sister and I were on a European tour in 1995 and were in Barcelona or Madrid (I don't remember which city) and decided we would just break down and go to Burger King. Guess we both were hankering for a burger. As we were chatting in the elevator about finding the place, a nice looking man said he was going there and we could join him. We exchanged all the pleasantries and discovered that he and I were originally from the same county in Mississippi. We started asking about certain people and he knew them all, like my aunt and uncle. He even had an adolescent crush on my cousin.

Weird, being on the other side of the world and meeting someone in a elevator who knew my family, and knew them well. I had to call my aunt that night and sure enough, she remembered him.

My husband likes to fish and has a bass boat. He likes me to bring the trailer around for him to load the boat. I hate it. Long bed pick-up with a double cab and standard shift. BACKING down the boat ramp into the water to load the boat. I cried every time I had to do it until I found THE METHOD. I look around for a middle-aged male and ask, "Please, Sir, will you save my marriage?" Then ask the guy to back that stupid truck down the ramp. I've never been turned down. Anyway - one time at Table Rock Lake in Missouri I used THE METHOD. They guy I asked ended up in the water helping my husband load that boat. Once they looked at each other they realized they had gone to school together - in tiny Cordell, OK. Knew each other quite well, but had lost touch. So the guy living in S. Texas met the guy he'd known in OK in Missouri at the bottom of a boat ramp.

My randomly assigned Ohio State roommate's aunt (whom they frequently visited) worked in the next town over from I lived.

AND--

I worked in a small store over the summers.
A group of guys camped at a family cabin and spent a whole week every summer there. When I went to class that fall at Ohio State (2 hours away and at the time had 55,000 students)I sat beside one of those guys in a class.

What wonderful stories!
I've had many experiences like this; do you think I can remember any details now that you've asked?!

On this board I found a woman who has a vineyard. I pm'd her to see if she knew my cousins family who worked in a vineyard. She did. What a small world, thousands of miles away from here.

The day we adopted our daughter we were reading the bios of her bio family. My DH and I kept reading and looking at each other, to our amazement their background was 99"% the same as ours. from employment, nationalities, # and sex of siblings, through 3 generations.
