Default Snap Bags

I was wondering if anyone has traveled on the plane having a snap bag in their purse or carry on? will this be a problem with the tape measure even though it is covered with tape? Am traveling tomorrow and have one in my purse.

Good question. But I can't see why it would make any more difference than wearing a belt buckle, metal handles on handbags etc., or costume jewelry etc. It will be interesting to see what others have experienced.

Yes I have, I have the most FABULOUS bag my friend made me called the "Flighty Bag" pattern to be released soon, it has the tape measure in it, went through security with no problem. Didn't even x-ray it twice. Did I mention what a fabulous bag it is?

Have never had a problem flying with my snappy bags. Never heard of a Flighty Bag - would like to see one. When does the pattern come out?

Flighty bag will be out soon after the holidays you can check out some of her other patterns at: anditwassew.com
Her name is Hilary and she is a pattern designer for Windham Fabrics, you can go to their web site and download some of her patterns for free. Her latest pattern just came out in Fons and Porter "Easy Quilts, Winter 2011" page 84. Hilary's computer crashed last night and she is getting a new one today so pictures of the "Flighty Bag" will be on her web page tomorrow, that's the earliest she can get them up/down loaded. I'll ask her to post mine on her site as well.
