Default Snap purse alternative to tape measure

Use plastic mini-blind slats for top of snap purses instead of metal tape measures. Just completed 11 of these with my granddaughter. They were just small bags. We used light weight fabric and it worked just fine. Cut blinds to correct size and insert into band. Accidental discovery by very frugal granny. There are extra blind slats at the bottom of blinds on short windows. Just untie cord and remove or cut center threads to remove. Hope someone can use this tip.

Good idea. Of course I just tossed 2 mini blinds last week. LOL, sure as I get rid of something I find I need it.

Very neat idea, but we have wooden blinds in our house. I guess I can get a new metal mini blind at Walmart for cheap and use it up. That would be a lot of purses though...lol

Wonderful and it can't cut you hand while making the bag.

Will have to try. Never liked the metal tape because of sharp edges and I'm on lots of blood thinners so seemed like unneeded risk.
