OK, three weeks ago we woke up to 3" snow, and now we are within 75 miles of the biggest wildland fire in the nation, over 386,000 acres. I'm not worried about this fire reaching us, but just worried about the nuts out there that still want to have a campfire, or toss their cigarette out the window.

What a beautiful view. Glad you are not in the area of the fire.

I know what you mean. Lots of California is a fire hazard and still people insist on doing those things.

I'm glad you're safe, though. And yes, pretty view!

Here in Texas we are so horribly dry and "they" are only talking about banning the sale/use of a few fireworks for the 4th of July. Unless we get 1-2 weeks of good steady drippy rain, we do not need any fireworks or outside fire hazards. It is amazing how stupid ppl can be. Be safe. I hope the fires never come closer to you.

I know the fire area very well. It breaks my heart to see so much go up in flames.

Never have understood why people are so careless. On the way to Dallas for an Etsy party at my Bernina dealer two policemen were using a shovel to dig at and stop a small fire by the roadside that was probably started by someone tossing their cigarette out the window.
