Yesterday (9/16) a friend ran in the "Reach the Beach" road race which begins at the base of Canon Mountain and they had snow flurries. This morning's local news mentioned a little snow arrived overnight at the top of Mount Washington. Guess it is time to call the oil company.

Gosh seems winter is coming early. I just hope that its not a bad winter for all of you guys in the north and east.
I'm in Oregon and I hope that this year isn't as bad as it was last year. I love the snow though, but we live so far from town that I don't want it to snow.

I think we are going to have a very hard winter this year. The weather has been too strange all summer.

Weather is turning here in South Carolina too. The high was 59 here yesterday with a very cool breeze.

Well, I wish the weather would change here in SW FL. Because it's still darn hot out. But no snow, please. That's why we moved away from PA.

I for one am not ready for winter. It seems like the flood just quit. People in Minot and the surrounding area are still without homes. FEMA seems to be dragging their feet on pulling them out so that the lots can be cleaned up to move trailers back in. The mayor of Minot is asking them to quit dragging their feet so these people have a place to call home before the snow flies. We now have transients and theives going in and stealing and moving into the damaged trailers and lighting fires to get warm and burning them up.

I'm not ready for winter either - but I wanted to say that I just LOVE the White Mountains. :) What a beautiful area.
