Of course they don't sell fabric- they were talking about the blenders in the kitchen dept. Actually, I was quite disappointed when I found out the blenders were kitchen appliances.
Even though I am fairly new to quilting, such announcement would also give me a pause

I can see this happening-- My Pops was saying postage stamps went up and I said -thats understandable cutting all those tiny squares is a pain in the butt. His girlfriend starts laughing. She 's crocheting 2 inch squares for a Postage Stamp afghan from a quilt I made for Pops

Speaking of not hearing correctly..........on a recent flight the lady seated across from me asked about the flight attendant. "Why does he keep walking back and forth saying 'Ten Cents'?" Her husband corrected her and told her the man was saying 'head sets' for the movie. She then replied "Lets get one cause they are really cheap!" He corrected her again by saying the price was $5. She was by this time angry and said "Then they shouldn't say ten cents!" The husband got up and walked away for a bit. We all tried not to laugh
