Beautiful girls and dresses! I have to agree with you on the length. My daughter is tall for her age and I hate those super short dresses. She loves dresses but likes length...maybe some day I will learn how to make her a dress as beautiful as these!

Congratulations on making such beautiful dresses, as well as dressing your girls like little ladies. I totally agree that most store bought dresses are indecent!

your girls look so cute in their dresses. You did a wonderful job on them. I agree with the dresses for kids in the stores. They should be dressed like kids not little mini models. My 10 yr old is 5 ft 2 in and I have such a hard time with finding clothing that is appropriate for her age. I think I should just be finding patterns and making it all myself.

That's how I first got into sewing. I didn't even know how to turn on a sewing machine 6 years ago. A friend gave me one lesson and the rest I learned by trial and error. Then she gave me one quilting lesson a year later, but I didn't pick it up. Then, 3 years ago I was on bed rest for a while so I picked up some beginner quilting books and learned from there.
