Default Some Utility Totes I Made Today!

After seeing a thread on this, I just had to make one myself...then two more, lol.

The two blue ones are made with a free pattern I found online, using 54" upholstery fabric. The brown one is made with a pattern I purchased online, made with 44" upholstery fabric. The pattern I used to make the brown one called for quilted fabric, but since I didn't have any, I used the 44" upholstery fabric that I had bought, by mistake, for the other pattern. I didn't realize that I had bought 44" instead of 54", so I set it aside and then went back to the fabric store for the 54" that I needed. When the second pattern arrived and I realized I needed quilted fabric, but didn't have any, I just used the 44" that I had set aside. Next time I'm out near a fabric store, I'll get some prequilted fabric, but until then, these work just as well! :-) Thanks for looking!

nice totes to carry stuff to guild. Of course you can use for anything, but I think sewing first. LOL

I love your totes. They are beautiful! Could you share with us the patterns that you used, especially the free one!

Thanks,
Colleen

Very nice bags. Why not quilt your own fabric and use that?

I thought of that after I had nearly finished them, lol. I looked around to see if I had anything else I could use that wasn't already designated and I could really find anything. Just another reason to go to the fabric store, lol.
