What color do you look best in? That is what I would do. But find out what the other MIL will be wearing. My mom and my youngest sister's MIL wore the same dress to their kid's wedding! My mom looked fabulous and the other lady was just so-so. That might have something to do with her attitude, too. But my mom got hers in Alabama and the MIL got hers in Oregon. How weird is that?

WOO HOO Congrats ! When is the big day ?

As for what color to wear - ask what color her mother is wearing and if they want you to stick to colors of the wedding ? When my son got married their colors were Orange and yellow - her mom wore cream and I wore a light green .... and the kids were happy with our choices

I agree...ask the bride. Barring that, select a neutral color that won't overshadow either the bride or the mother of the bride... :) You don't want to match the bridemaids...

I heard that too! LOl Show up Shut up and wear beige but she calls me for advice all the time so that is not so easy. I am afraid the beautiful beige dress I already have is to close in color to her ivory gown so do not want to go there!!
