Default Spring color is here

I just snapped this picture of the flowering crabapple trees in our front yard. They have about one more day till they reach full bloom but there is a storm coming in later today and that will probably knock the blossoms off and that will be that for the year. This happened a couple of years ago and it really killed us as the trees are probably the most colorful in the neighborhood. So look while you can, I say.

How I love driving around and seeing these in the spring! Here in central VA it has looked like a bridal shower for a week, so beautiful! Yours are gorgeous, too.

I have a trip planned, staying in Deleware, but planned the trip around cherry blossom time in d.c. So with the weather I understand the blossoms are almost gone already. I go just about every year and still have not seen it in full bloom! Some day maybe, when I am retired and don't have to plan in advance!

That is one of our must do's next year. We had tentatively planned it for this year but something came up. You are right, that unless you live close enough, you have to have a wider window of opportunity to hit it just right.

Jan in VA - what a nice way to say it - looks like a bridal show. Yes, it does. Love this time of year.

Went into town the other day and noticed all the flowering trees and bushes are in full bloom and it is such an uplifting sight, makes you glad to be alive. Well, at my age, that is particularly true.
