is going up in price. Looks like I'll be making mine in the microwave now. Just saw a report on the news yesterday & now I don't remember exactly what they said is the cause of the shortage of cocoa beans, but it's such a disappointment. Nothing goes better with quilting than some good chocolate & a glass of wine.

I posted about the price rising some weeks ago so everyone could stock up on baking chocolate or powder. By Christmas of this year it could be very expensive. It will take time for the crop to get mature. DH likes a Hershey bar with his lunch so I've been buying them by the box at Sam's Club.

Ah now I know what to buy Sunday when I go back to the grocery store to get the $30 I need for the 10 cents off a gal of gas - CHOCOLATE!

Maybe that explains (in part) the prices I saw yesterday at a local candy store - regular Hershey kisses bags were $3.99 and Palmer bulk chocolates were $12.00 for a 2 lbs bag or $22.00 for a 4 lbs bag. Regular Brach's bulk was $4.99/lb
