Spring must be on the way. Several flocks of Sand Hill cranes "winter" in SE Tennessee. It's neat to see them in the fields during the winter. I just saw several hundred of these noisy birds flying north. They must sense that spring is on the way

OH MY GOSH. Several hundred - what a sight that must have been. I know spring is coming when my grass looks brown instead of white from the snow! :)

LOL this morning woke up to 19 degree balmy weather and a bit of snow on the ground but tons of ice on the road. I know spring is hiding in someone elses back yard this week.

My Irises are getting ready to bloom. Since it never gets cold enough here for most bulbs, that is the only one I have that comes back year after year.

We had a nice walk on the beach today. Granted, we had to drive to the ocean but still...It was 46 degrees out. Big storm headed our way tomorrow.

My husbands family is from Nebraska and we eagerly await the sand hill cranes every march. They come in by the thousands and lay over on the Platte river.
